Oleksiy Osiyevskyy

Oleksiy Osiyevskyy is a Professor of Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary. In scholarship, he concentrates on the problem of achieving and sustaining firm growth and prosperous longevity through successful engagement in entrepreneurial strategies. Oleksiy’s research program is supported by Haskayne’s Future Fund Fellowship and numerous competitive grants. Since joining the University of Calgary in 2017 (from Northeastern University, Boston), he has developed and launched a signature “Entrepreneurial Thinking” course required for all Haskayne MBA students, for which he has served as a coordinator ever since. Oleksiy founded his first Internet startup back in 2003, during his undergraduate studies. Since that time, he has been actively engaged in real-world business practice across the globe as an entrepreneur, manager within large companies, consultant and educator. Oleksiy has mentored, co-founded, invested in, and served on the boards of numerous startups within a broad range of industries (education, food, medical devices, transportation, e-commerce, among others), and engaged in strategic innovation projects within large organizations.
