William (Bill) Newburry (Ph.D., New York U.) is Chair of the Department of International Business and the Ryder Eminent Scholar of Global Business at Florida International University. He is an Academy of International Business (AIB) Fellow and a Non-Resident Senior Research Fellow at the Nanyang Business School Center for Emerging Markets. He currently serves on the Academy of Management International Management Division Executive Committee, and is the 2022 AIB Meeting Local Host Chair. Bill has served as Chair of the AIB Latin America Chapter and the Strategic Management Society Global Strategy Interest Group. His research focuses on how multinational corporations relate to subsidiaries and other stakeholders when investing abroad, with an emphasis on reputation issues. He serves as Editor of AIB Insights, as Series Editor for Research in Global Strategic Management, on the Senior Advisory Board of Review of International Business and Strategy, and on several editorial review boards.
