Monserrat Garcia is currently pursuing an MBA with a marketing concentration at the Lorry I. Lokey School of Business and Public Policy at Mills College while doing an internship at a prominent Bay Area consulting firm helping it hone its communications, social media, and recruitment strategies. She has an entrepreneurial background having started an e-commerce business. She has also spent several years in education teaching Spanish following the completion of her MA in Education. She recently discovered a passion for marketing research having completed several assistantships on projects ranging from business origination to gender equity. In her studies, she continues to be interested in new entrepreneurs and their use of technology to launch and grow their businesses. Upon graduation, Monserrat intends to pursue a marketing career and hopes to continue leveraging her education sector background by pursuing a career in ed-tech, digital learning, or UI/UX design.
