Joanne B. Ciulla is Professor and Director of the Institute for Ethical Leadership at Rutgers Business School, Professor Emerita of the Jepson School of Leadership Studies, University of Richmond, and had academic appointments at La Salle University, Harvard Business School, and The Wharton School. She held the UNESCO Chair in Leadership Studies and visiting professorships in The Netherlands, South Africa, and Australia. A philosopher by training, Ciulla has published on ethics in leadership and business. Her recent book is The Search for Ethics in Business and Beyond. Ciulla is recipient of Lifetime Achievement Awards for scholarship from the International Leadership Association and the Society for Business Ethics and the Eminent Scholar Award from the Network of Leadership Scholars. She is past president of the International Society of Business, Ethics and Economics and the Society for Business Ethics. Ciulla serves on the Business Ethics Quarterly, Leadership Quarterly, and Leadership boards.
