Ilke Kardes is an Assistant Professor of Marketing & International Business at Valdosta State University. Dr. Kardes worked as a Faculty and Research Director at Georgia State University from 2014 to 2017. Her responsibilities included teaching classes in International Business at the Institute of International Business as well as research and IT services at Center for International Business and Education Research (CIBER). Her research interests focus on emerging markets, middle class, branding, and IB pedagogy. Her academic career and abilities have been shaped in different cultures during years. Ilke was a faculty member and taught many courses at the University of Applied Sciences, Duesseldorf in Germany and at Marmara University, Istanbul in Turkey for several years. She was also a research associate at Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University for one year in 2011. Ilke is fluent in English, German, and Turkish.
