Dr. Debasis Dash is an Indian Navy veteran. In his 29 years of illustrious service in the armed forces, he served on board various Indian Naval ships, submarines, and establishments as a surface-to-air missile specialist, including a staff instructor and trainer tenure. After being recommended by the UPSC, he was appointed as a Technical Officer at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai. He is a multifaceted talent, an orthodox HR Leader, and an L&D professional with expertise in surface-to air missile technology and quality management. Dr. Debasis Dash is an Associate Professor of HRM & Behavioural Science/OB at Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering (MPSTME), NMIMS Deemed to be University, Mumbai. He was a Senior Assistant Professor at Vijay Patil School of Management, DY Patil University, Navi Mumbai, India. He is also a visiting faculty member at Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai, Osmania University, Hyderabad, and other management institutions and universities in India. He is a Senior Member of the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (SMIIE), a life member of the Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD), and the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI). His areas of interest include performance management, knowledge management, L&D, people analytics, soft skill development, and FDPs on Trainer Development (Train‐the‐Trainers). He is an avid learner and has participated in various seminars/workshops conducted by IITs, IIMs, XLRI, ASCI, IIIE, NITs, and ISTM. He has also published conceptual and research papers in referred and indexed journals. He received the International EmeraldLiterati‐2022 Award for Best Reviewer, a testament to his standing in the academic community.
