Alexia Husted is in the final year of her studies at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, majoring in Global Environment and Sustainable Development and Genetics. She is interested in sustainability issues, including but not limited to forced labor. Alexia has researched how ecological degradation exacerbates forced labor practices. She also focuses on identifying and studying scientific solutions that can be applied to address modern slavery. She has worked as a research assistant at the Centre for Research on Modern Slavery, University of Auckland Business School.
