Sterling A. Bone

Dr. Sterling Bone is a Professor of Marketing at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University. His research focuses on improving access to capital for racial/ethnic minority and women-owned businesses and optimizing frontline service and sales employees for customer experience. Dr. Bone received his B.A. and M.B.A. from Utah State University and his Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University. His research has appeared in the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Service Research, Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, Harvard Business Review, and other notable journals. His research has been featured or highlighted in the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, on NPR’s Marketplace, and numerous other media outlets. His research has been presented before the U.S. House of Representatives Financial Service Committee and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
