Dr. Rossen Petkov is an Associate Professor in Accounting at the Department of Economics and Business at Lehman College, City University of New York (CUNY). Dr. Petkov’s main research interests are in accounting for internally generated intangible assets, prehistoric accounting and tax. Prior to joining Lehman faculty, Dr. Petkov worked as a senior auditor at KPMG where he was involved in quarter, year-end audits, and SOX engagements for major U.S. and foreign, public and private companies. His main areas of practical expertise are in oil and gas, service and manufacturing and retail. He is licensed as a CPA in New York State and also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
