Robert Phillips is George R. Gardiner Professor in Business Ethics and Professor of Sustainability at York University’s Schulich School of Business (Toronto) where he is also Director of the Centre of Excellence in Responsible Business. His work has appeared in Journal of Business Ethics, Business & Society, Journal of Management, Business Ethics Quarterly, Strategic Management Journal, Philosophy of Management, and the Academy of Management Review among others. He is the author of Stakeholder Theory and Organizational Ethics (2003) and co-editor of The Cambridge Handbook of Stakeholder Theory (2019). He was previously Consulting Editor at Journal of Business Ethics and Associate Editor at Business & Society. His research interests include stakeholder theory, historic corporate responsibility, and ethics in networks.
