Niels Noorderhaven is professor of International Management, associate dean for internationalization and head of the department of Management, all at Tilburg University, the Netherlands. He also is a visiting professor at LUISS University in Rome. His research focuses on the management of international collaboration between firms and the management of interorganizational projects. His research has focused on various industries, including microelectronics, office equipment, chemicals, biotechnology, airlines, construction, and shipbuilding. He has been a member of the executive committee of the European Academy of Management for over five years, and at present, he is a Fellow of the European Academy. He has published six books and numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of International Business Studies, Organization Science, Organization Studies, Research Policy and the Journal of Management Studies. His work has attracted over 1,500 ISI citations (over 7,000 Google Scholar citations). He has participated in international development projects sponsored by UNIDO and the Dutch Ministry of Development Aid, and has been principal researcher in and scientific advisor to major innovation programs in Dutch industry. Next to his academic work he is chair or member of various supervisory and advisory boards.
