Hao Su, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Tandon School of Engineering at New York University. He previously held faculty appointments at North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Earlier in his career, Dr. Su was a Research Scientist at Philips Research North America, followed by a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard University and the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering. He is a recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER Award and the Switzer Distinguished Fellowship from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He serves as a Technical Editor for ASME/IEEE Transactions on Mechatronics and as an Associate Editor for IEEE Robotics and Automation Magazine, the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, and the IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems.
