Gunnar Nilsson is professor of general medicine with emphasis on medical informatics. Gunnar is pro-dean of higher education at Karolinska Institutet, head of the Division of Family Medicine at the Department for Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society (NVS), and was previously the director of the study program in medicine. He has conducted extensive scientific work in general medicine and medical informatics, with a focus on clinical care and pedagogy, and has extensive clinical experience and in educational and faculty development. He was former guest professor at Stockholm University, and teaching sabbatical fellow at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
