Gary Kleinman has a doctoral degree in Accounting from Rutgers University. He is a tenured full professor at Montclair State University, where he has taught for over a decade. He has also taught at Rutgers University. Further, he has published widely, with topics on which he has written, including auditor independence, auditor decision-making, forensic auditing practice issues, international accounting and auditing regulation determinants, and group decision-making, both narrowly in the auditing arena as well as outside auditing. In addition, Dr. Kleinman has published research on cybersecurity practices and issues.
