Catrina Palmer Johnson is on track to receive her Ph.D. in Organizational Management from Rutgers Business School – Newark and New Brunswick in summer 2021. Starting fall 2021, she will be serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Information Systems at Kent State University, College of Business Administration. Her scholarship focuses on understanding the lived experiences of marginalized groups with respect to workplace diversity and inclusion. Specifically, her research focuses on how gender and racial disparity affect mentorship relationships, as well as how criminal history affects obtaining meaningful employment opportunities. Johnson has taught introductory management and guest lectured in two diversity courses: women leading in business and managing diversity. Prior to entering academia, she served as an academic advisor at a midwestern university and a research associate at a consulting firm.
