Belay Seyoum is Professor of International Business Studies at the Huizenga School of Business, Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He holds a Masters and Doctorate degree from McGill University, Canada. He has previously taught at Concordia University, Canada and has been a visiting professor of international business at the University of Bogota, Colombia, National Sun Yatsen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan and Ramkhamhaeng University, Thailand. He is the Fulbright Scholar award recipient to Warsaw, Poland in 2007. Professor Seyoum’s research focuses on international trade issues such as trade agreements, economic freedom and trade flows, export controls, free trade zones, intellectual property and trade flows. He has published four books and numerous articles in the area of international trade and foreign investment in several prestigious academic journals such as the Journal of World Business, International Business Review, the Journal of Economic Studies and the Thunderbird International Business Review.
