Antonio Nicita

Antonio Nicita is a Full Professor of Economic Policy at LUMSA, Visiting Fellow at the Freedom Center, University of Arizona and Visiting Scholar at the Center for Research in Regulated Industries, Rutgers Business School, Usa. He has been Associate Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Siena; he was Visiting Fulbright Professor at Yale University. In 2006-07 he was an economic adviser to the Italian Minister of Communications and member of the Governmental Unit for the Improvement of Regulation. He was economic advisor for the 2009 OECD Report on Regulation in Italy and (2015-2020) member of OECD Steering Group on Regulation and Emerging Technologies. (2021-2022) He has been Member of the Regulatory Scrutiny Board (RSB) at European Commission and (2014-2020) Commissioner of the Italian Telecoms, Media and Postal Regulatory Authority (AGCOM). He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Siena, Italy. His research interests cover Industrial organization, Law and Economics, Competition Economics and Regulation. He is author of numerous publications.
