Luis Javier Sanchez-Barrios, PhD, MSc, MBA, BSc Eng, is an Associate Professor in Accounting and Finance at Universidad del Norte Business School. Previously, he served as Interim Dean, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, and Head of Department at Universidad del Norte Business School. He holds a PhD in Management (Credit Scoring) from the University of Edinburgh. His research interests are BoP and SME Finance in Emerging Markets, Scoring Models in Emerging Markets, and Corruption and FDI in Emerging Markets. He has published his research in outlets such as International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business, the International Review of Economics and Finance, Journal of Services Marketing, and the European Journal of Operational Research.
